Well, what do we have here? Hey Blogos and Blogettes............. Are you hungry? Starting on the top and going from left to right, beer bread, french bread, scones - bottom.. a french bread roll that the cat licked, chocolate chip bars still in the pan, and the unlicked french bread rolls....I am having a hard time throwing away that roll the cat licked..................
I did the laundry too.................
For dinner, we are having Paella a la Valenciana........... a picture will follow.

Well, today I had a drag race with my friend Dennis....he was in his truck and I was on my SCAG.....he won, I ran out of room............he would have won anyway..but we had fun. This happened as he was leaving church and I was finishing up cutting the grass at church...
Today I also saw my friend Michael Cody - he was going one way on Summet Drive and I was going the other...........He has been gone out west for 10 days, see his blog.... http://macode.blogspot.com/
Also, today, the toothache that I got yesterday continued...I called my dentist, he called another dentist, and prescriptions for antibiotics and pain killers..........I will be taking my antibiotics in just a minute, but I am replacing pain killer with beer.....I have an appointment with the root canal doctor for September the 8th at 8am for a consultation.....Whoahhhh...
Now for the highlight......pizza on thee grill..........
We put ground fillet, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, and black olives.....of course, there was pizza sauce and cheese.......
It was yummy........
I hope you had a good day and did not have a toothache..........take good care of yourself, john

Hope you are well....and had a really good day....
The highlight of my day was breakfast with Dennis and Marie at 8am this morning...well, that was until a couple of minutes ago when Sandy got home from work.....
Having a beer at 4pm wasn't too bad either...........
We are having steak and potato for dinner......that isn't so bad either.
Pretty good day..........sitting in front of the computer writing my part for the Sunday meeting at church, tomorrow is the dry run.........
I also cut off the old growth from my perennials today, they were looking kink of sad, now they look happy...it is raining and that makes them happy too.
thinking about how good that Krispy Flounder at Hyman's in Charleston tasted makes me happy too.
Well, remember, take good care of yourself, cheers, john

Hi Ho Bloggers -
Well, it has been a couple of days since I blogged.... I have been very busy around the house and getting ready for a big meeting at church next Sunday...... I have spent many, many hours creating a 3 minute PowerPoint presentation that pictures the programs, ministries, and missions that we do at Cherokee..........it is timed with a very neat praise song (our praise team does it, but I am using a recording) - the song is You are Holy... Today, I have been thinking about and writing down information for my part of the presentation on Sunday... I am sure I will be nervous, but I am excited now....
On Saturday night Dennis and Marie and Chalmer and Meredith came to our home for dinner.... We had a great time....................good food, great fun, and greater friends!!! It does not get any better than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I did cut the grass - and starting on Thursday or Friday, I will cut the grass at church for the first time - now, that is really exciting......Holy Grass Cutting!!!!
Today I got some of my grandkids Christmas presents from the UPS truck.... The favorite thing I got for two sets of grand kids is something called "Band in a Box." It is the kind of gift the grandkids will love and my kids will be less than thrilled with...... go figure?
Don't you think the children will love this gift??????????????? There are 10 different instruments in there and as you can see, most of them are percussion!!!!!!
I was just thinking today how lucky I am to be alive.........God has blessed me.
Take good care of yourself, cheers, john
PS - the image at the top of the blog is captured using a screen capture program called SnagIt. I thought you would like to know the definition of what I was calling you............
