Manny Rameriz suspended 50 games for using illegal drugs - baseball strikes again at the youth of the United States......... is everybody a cheater in baseball these days????? I'm pissed off!!!
This is getting ridiculous...and I always stuck up for Manny and as most know, I'm a huge Dodger fan and now this record they broke doesn't mean squat. Sad.
It is sad Mark, I remember laying on the floor in the living room of our house in Detroit listening to the Tigers play - I was there when Al Kaline came to Detroit from the sand lots of Baltimore... in Atlanta when the Braves arrived... There was none of that then - it the money, it has to be, and it is so, so sad.
I'm sure money has a bit to do with it...but I think it's more the coaches and owners of the teams. If you don't perform, there are hundreds of players ready to take your place. I know a lot of players and they fear for their jobs...even when they are doing well. Which I guess is what you said...it's about the money! I just think it starts with the coaches and owners. Whatever it is that drives this...has got to stop.
I am lucky to have worked most of my adult life in a profession that I do truly love...teaching college. I also love weaving, and working in my gardens as I am able. I enjoy music and TV and playing with our dog Jill, and our cat Little Bit. I like life and sharing it with my wife and friends and family.
